Trials for the Junior World and European Orienteering Championships
Individual competition on Saturday, April 25th
Trial classes and fees: H17-20E, D17-20E, H16E and D16E (22 €). In classes H16E and D16E there is no limit for the number of participants. In classes H17-20E and D17-20E the selection of competitors based on the registrated participants is done by the Finnish Orienteering Federation. The maximum number of participants in both classes is 70. More detailed information can be found in Finnish on www.finnspring.net website and on the website of the Finnish Orienteering Federation.

In classes other than the trials the organizers have a right to divide the participants in parallel classes according to the amount of participant registrations.

Relay competition on Sunday, April 26th
Classes and fees:
All classes have 3 legs.
- H21A, H21AL, H120, H150, H180, H210, D21A, D21AL, D120, D150, D180, H/D21C company and mixed teams (57 €)
- H15-18, D15-18 (42 €)
- H/D14 at least one girl (30 €)
- H/D12 one leg TR and at least one girl (legs in order: 1st leg = H/D12, 2nd leg = H/D12TR, 3rd leg = H/D12) (30 €)
- H/D10-12TR (2 H/D10RR + 1 H/D12TR) at least one girl (legs in order: 1st leg = H/D12TR, 2nd leg = H/D10RR, 3rd leg = H/D10RR) (30 €)
In the classes H/D120, H/D150, H/D180, H210 the combined age of the team must be at least 120, 150, 180 or 210 years. The minimum age limits in the relay are: H/D120 35 years, H/D150 40 years, H/D180 50 years and H210 60 years.
Running orders: The running orders for the relay must be registered primarily online on the IRMA online service (https://irma.suunnistusliitto.fi:8443/irma/public/competitioncalendar/view?lang=en) on Saturday 25th by 6 pm. If the order cannot be submitted on IRMA, the order can be submitted at the info centre by Saturday 25th at 5 pm by using the form provided in the info centre. Changes submitted to the info centre thereafter will be charged 10€/team.
Individual Mass Start Competition on Sunday, April 26th
Classes and fees:
In the longer tracks A-D butterfly loops are used, the shorter tracks are straight.
- A: H20, H21, H35 (16 €)
- B: H18, H40, H45 (16 €)
- C: H16, H50, H55, D20, D21, D35 (16 €)
- D H14, D16, D18, D40, D45, H60, H65 (16 €)
- E: D50/H70 and older (16 €)
- F: H12, D12, D14 (10 €)
Terrain: Versatile cross-country area with mostly very good runability. In children"s and elder"s classes the terrain is particulary fast and the height differences are moderate. In the longer courses the terrain is more diverse and the height differences are larger.
Parking: At the competition center on the airfield area. The parking fee of 4€ is valid for both the days. The parking fee is covering the rental of the whole airfield for the competition.
Map: Scale 1:10 000, with a contour interval of 5 m. Printing 4/2015. Terrain planning by Jussi Silvennoinen, 2014. Some areas of the map have been in use in smaller competetions previously.
Entries: Entries must be done by Sunday April 19th at 24.00 online on IRMA online service (https://irma.suunnistusliitto.fi:8443/irma/public/competitioncalendar/view?lang=en) or by mail to Risto Kivinen, Karjaskyläntie 87, 24100 Salo. The Emit numbers must be given upon registration. For those who fail to give the Emit-number a rental card is reserved and it can be obtained at the info centre for a daily fee of 5 €. Those who send their entries by mail, the entry fee must be paid with the following bank information: Suomusjärven Sisu, IBAN FI05 5441 0350 0061 32, BIC OKOYFIHH.
Late entries: By Tuesday April 21th at 24.00 on IRMA, double fee. For the individual mass start competition late entries (fees 20/14 €) can also be made on Saturday in the info centre by 5 pm.
Routing: From road 2410, at exit number 18 from Helsinki-Turku motorway (E18), estimated driving time 10 min. The guiding signs are at their place by Saturday 8 am. The competition center is located at Kiikala airfield, address Oinasjärventie 518, Salo.
Starts: The first start on Saturday takes place at 11 am. Distance to the start max 1,7 km. Pre-start will be used in trial classes. The starts on Sunday will take place from 10 am. The exact start time for each class and other instructions are explained in more detail in the competition instructions.

Open courses: Only on Saturday. Three courses: lengths are about 2.5 km, 4 km and 6 km. Registration at the competition center, fee 10 €, under 16 years 5 €. Starts 11:30-13:30. Emit punching system. Rental card 5 €.
WELCOME – SUOMUSJÄRVEN SISU
Kids zone ("Muksula"): There is a free kids zone in the competition center (Saturday 10:00-15:00, Sunday 9:00 - 13:00). Advance registration is needed for the kids zone by Sunday April 19th: Sari Urmas, +358 40 578 2428.
Miscellaneous: There is a restaurant in the competition center (only cash, credit cards can"t be used). Washing in the open, the use of shampoo and soap is prohibited for environmental reasons. Own safety pins needed for attaching the number bibs.
